Friends, In this post we are going to see about a disease called Ichthyosis.This is a skin disease caused either by inheritance or other internal diseases.
Ichthyosis:
It is defined as a group of skin disorders characterized by dry, scaly, or thickened skin.Causes:
Ichthyosis is an inherited or acquired skin condition that occurs when the skin doesn't shed its dead skin cells. This causes dry, dead skin cells to accumulate in patches on the surface of the skin.
Treatment:
Since now there is no correct solution for this disease.Most people need to continue treating their skin for life. To improve acquired Ichthyosis, you must also treat the disease that triggered the Ichthyosis. If the disease can be cured, the Ichthyosis may go away.But for inherited Ichthyosis there is no chance of curing from this disease.
Treatment can include creams, lotions or ointments to relieve dryness or itching. Salt or aspirin dissolved in water, or over the counter lotions containing urea, may also ease scaling. For more severe cases doctors may prescribe certain forms of vitamin A.

- X-linked Ichthyosis
- Congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma
- Harlequin Ichthysois
